Current and Former Students

Maggie Avery is a PhD candidate interested in improving geodynamo simulations by linking the output to what is expected from paleomagnetic data. She has also been investigating the paleointensity record carried by the Bishop Tuff.

As a PhD student Leah Ziegler worked on the PADM2M model for variations in axial dipole moment over the past 2 My. Leah graduated in 2011 and is a postdoc at Oregon State University

During his PhD Joseph Ribaudo worked on finite element modeling for global electromagnetic induction. He graduated in 2011 and is currently working for EMGS in Houston.

Lindsay Smith is a PhD student working on spectral estimation techniques for use in global electromagnetic induction studies. She defended her thesis in 2013 and now works at ESG Solutions, Kingston, Canada

Current and Former Postdocs

Sanja Panovska is a postdoc at IGPP. She has worked on Holocene field modeling, and is currently making a time varying field model spanning the past 100ky.

Chris Davies is a Green Scholar at IGPP. He works on geodyanmo simulations and Earth's thermal history.

Fabio Donadini was a postdoc at IGPP from 2007-2009. Among other things he works on Holocene magnetic data compilations, especially Geomagia 50, and collecting new archeomagneitc data. Check out the Geomagia web page for data and model predictions.

Phil Livermore was a postdoc at IGPP from 2008-2010, working with Glen Ierley on dynamos and magnetic fields, especially Taylor states in Earth's core. Phil is now at Leeds University, UK
