This file is a summary of 1D models for global crustal model CRUST 2.0. There are three tables. the first one lists the global average, the second one the average for continents, (incl. cont. shelves) and the third one is the average for oceans (incl. cont. slopes). the averages are true equal area averages (not averages of the 2x2 degree cells of CRUST2.0). CRUST 2.0 consists of 7 layers: water, ice, soft sediments, hard sediments and a three-layer crystalline crust (upper, middle, lower). the last line are the parameters of the upper mantle immediately below the moho (thickness 999. indicates the halfspace). IMPORTANT NOTE for profiles below: the ice and water layers are switched, so the top layer is water! The reference radius to which the layer depths are given is 6371km. 1) global average top of layer(km) thickness(km) VP(km/s) VS(km/s) RHO(g/cm^3) 0.23 1.50 0.00 1.02 -2.39 3.81 1.94 0.92 -2.45 2.10 0.98 1.92 -2.97 3.73 1.96 2.37 -3.43 5.46 2.92 2.66 -9.45 6.57 3.66 2.89 -15.74 7.10 3.92 3.05 -21.59 8.15 4.66 3.36 2) continental model top of layer (km) thickness(km) VP VS RHO 0.65 1.50 0.00 1.02 0.57 3.81 1.94 0.92 0.41 2.42 1.17 2.07 -0.31 3.81 2.01 2.38 -1.14 6.13 3.54 2.76 -14.02 6.52 3.67 2.88 -26.63 7.09 3.93 3.05 -37.51 8.15 4.67 3.35 3) oceanic model top of layer (km) thickness(km) VP VS RHO 0.00 1.50 0.00 1.02 -4.00 3.81 1.94 0.92 -4.00 1.92 0.88 1.84 -4.41 3.69 1.93 2.37 -4.67 5.09 2.59 2.61 -6.96 6.60 3.65 2.90 -9.81 7.11 3.91 3.05 -12.91 8.15 4.65 3.35
