January 7, 2025 M7.1 Tingri (South Tibet, China) earthquake

On January 7, 2025, a major (magnitude 7.1) earthquake occurred in southern Tibet. The earthquake ruptured a normal fault (or a system of faults) with approximately north-south strike.
