It is important to review the lecture notes, homework problems and pop quizzes as the tests will be based on this material. The additional pdf files from a book in preparation should help for in-depth studies of specific subjects (they may be test material).
Course Book
The course mostly follows a book in preparation: "Exploring Natural Disasters: Natural Processes and Human Impacts" by Gabi Laske. As the online lecture notes are very brief, students are advised to read the book chapters for additional reading. Material covered in the book but not in the lectures may be test material.
